Meet Crystal

Not Your Average Accountant

Crystal-41.jpg

My path to Certified Public Accountant was far from a straight line!  I took the long route with a ton of experience first, then a formal education.

I was accepted and awarded a scholarship to Hesser College in New Hampshire to study Business Management, but I decided to join to U.S. Army instead (MOS: 96B Military Intelligence Analyst).  After my time in the military, I spent the next 16 years developing my knowledge in Accounting and Tax, holding positions in various industries ranging from Retail to Software Development Technology, and everything in between!  During this time, I found my preferred spot in small to mid-sized businesses accounting and taxation, as well as individual taxation.

After moving to Raleigh, NC, I attended North Carolina State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude and passed all parts of the CPA exam the following year.  I am licensed by the North Carolina State Board of CPA examiners, and hold professional memberships in the AICPA, NCACPA and NSA.

When I'm not working with the numbers, you can find me running or cycling on Raleigh's greenway system or spending time with my husband of 24 years and our two chatty parrots, Jack and Loki.

I truly enjoy helping others, and look forward to serving you!
